I'm an artist and art educator working in Rhode Island. I graduated from Rhode Island College with a bachelor's degree in art education and a concentration in oil painting.

My current work is the result of an internal need to create. Painting is both an outlet and a discipline for me. I tend to focus on the overlooked aspects of my surroundings, which has led me to create pieces that magnify the seemingly insignificant. My primary subject matter and passion is oysters! I'm fascinated with each shell's unique depth and luminosity. I hope to render the delicate yet strong nature of these seaside treasures through my oil paintings. Recently, I've been working on a larger scale, which has allowed me to focus on fine details while layering subtle colors and textures. I want my oysters to feel alive; vibrating and moving, seducing the viewer. Whetting your appetite with the silky taste of saltwater while bridging the gap between realism and fantasy.

Since becoming a Jamestown resident, the rugged beauty of the island has inspired my work in a different direction. My textural landscapes are more of a meditation; an effort to preserve a moment in time, the feeling of a day, or the memory of a mood.

I've recently been accepted as an Exhibiting Artist Member at the Providence Art Club.
